Pitch a piece

Kettle & Clover welcomes pitches from writers with a fresh, well-shaped idea about home coffee, tea, or slow drinks. A useful proposal gives readers something to understand, notice, or try without asking them to own a particular set of equipment.

Ideas with a clear centre

We are interested in considered pieces about brewing, ingredients, serving, cold drinks, and the rituals around a cup. A good pitch names its subject, explains the question or angle, and shows why it will remain useful to home drink-makers. Please avoid pitches that simply repackage a product description or make unsupported claims.

Send a proposal

Use the Contact page to send your pitch. Include a working title, a short summary, the likely shape of the piece, and any relevant writing samples or links you choose to share. Do not send a full draft unless it has been requested.

What happens next

A proposal is not a promise of publication. If an idea is a fit, we may discuss scope, timing, edits, and any relevant disclosures before work begins. Please mention potential conflicts or commercial ties connected to the subject.
